What’s your secret talent that no one knows about?
I’m not sure that it’s a secret, but I’m an excellent baker! Cakes, pies, crumbles, cookies you name it, I’ve baked it. If you were to ask my family and friends, they would probably say I’m most known for my cupcakes (all kinds), Apple Pie, and my Strawberry Blueberry Summer Cake with homemade whipped cream.

Who, living or dead, would you like to eat dinner with the most? And why?
My grandparents. Both of my grandmothers passed away before I was born. My Dad’s father passed away when I was 3-weeks old, and my Mom’s father passed away when I was two. I would love the opportunity to spend time with them and get to know them even for just one meal or a few hours.

What is your favorite project you worked on, and why?
This isn’t a project per se, but I was President of SMPS Boston for the 2016-2017 program year. As President, I led the board of directors and the many committee volunteers to provide programming, education, and networking opportunities for our membership. Our theme for that program year was Flourish, and it was an honor to serve as Chapter President and watch our chapter, and all our volunteers and members flourish that year.

In 2018, at the Build Business Awards in San Diego, I had the privilege of accepting the Striving for Excellence award for the best Extra-Large Chapter in the nation on behalf of SMPS Boston for the 2016-2017 program year. To receive this award is a real honor and reflection of the hard work of the board, volunteers, and members of the chapter. A significant accomplishment, I was honored and humbled to accept the award, and it’s certainly a night I will never forget.

How did you get into construction?
It happened by accident. Growing up, I wanted to be a vet, but hands-on experience working in a veterinary hospital and Organic Chemistry made me rethink that decision.

My roommate from college was in Boston, so I took a big risk and moved up here without a job. At the time, I was working with a temp agency. Commodore was looking for a receptionist, it was for an extended period, and it seemed like a good fit, so I jumped at the opportunity. Joe Albanese’s Mom actually trained me on the front desk.

From there, I became their first Project Administrator, transitioned into a marketing role, and then my current role as Director of Leadership Support. In a way, I feel like I have grown up with the company, and it has been amazing to witness firsthand the growth and success we have had over the years.
